Devin E. Grogan is a founding partner of Henry & Grogan. She is a 2012 graduate of Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania and a 2017 graduate of Temple University Law School. Ms. Grogan is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Courts for Eastern and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Before forming Henry & Grogan, Ms. Grogan was an associate attorney at Henry & Grogan, PC. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Grogan worked for two years as an Americorps Construction Crew Leader at Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia.
Ms. Grogan represents aliens in every aspect of the immigration system. She represents clients through the application process with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service to obtain legal status in the United States through family-based and employment-based visa petitions. She has been successful in resolving many difficult issues that arise in family-based immigration applications, especially cases that require hardship waivers or appeals to USCIS’s Administrative Appeals Office. Ms. Grogan has also been successful in resolving immigration applications with lengthy processing delays or erroneous denials by filing mandamus actions in federal court.
Ms. Grogan has developed a practice representing juveniles in custody and guardianship proceedings in state court in order to obtain Special Immigrant Juvenile status in the United States and has also represented clients in a variety of family law matters related to immigration.
Ms. Grogan has represented immigrants in removal proceedings before immigration courts nationwide, including aliens with criminal convictions or other immigration violations who have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Ms. Grogan can assist families in obtaining the release of detained aliens by applying for immigration bonds or by filing habeas corpus petitions in federal court.
Ms. Grogan has been successful in obtaining cancellation of removal, hardship waivers, and suspension of deportation for aliens in removal and deportation proceedings. She has also successfully advocated for asylum from the USCIS Asylum Office and various immigration courts for immigrants who fear persecution if they return to their home countries. Ms. Grogan has also successfully argued on behalf of clients in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, obtaining dismissals, reversals, and emergency stays of deprtation.
